Yesterday, my dad asked me if I would like to tutor a few of his friends' sons and daughters for O'Levels. I told him that I could only teach maybe 5 at maximum and that I'll think about it. He asked me to think fast, haha.
Anyway, they want to take Maths and English, maybe Chemistry too. I would gladly teach them Maths but I think it'll be difficult as hell teaching English to.. to.. you know. I love English, I do. My favourite language by a long shot. I also think that I'm very good at it. ;)
Chemistry.. I think I could teach that. I mean, I'm taking June. It's like what Mr. Soh would always say, "the best way to learn is to teach".
So, maybe I should just tutor them Chemistry and Maths but English.. nah, I'll just stick to the two.
Next problem, what to teach them..? Should I teach them from scratch? What do I ask them to refer to. I think I need Chemistry past year-papers as well as notes. Man, I haven't even started and I'm already suffocating!
Maths will be a piece of cake to teach, hahaha. I mean come on, it's not Additional Mathematics!
Money, money, money. How much should I charge? I'm not that great so I think it should be around $30-$50 per subject? Less? More? How much would a normal tuition fee cost? I wouldn't know, I never took any.
I think I should ask a few friends for help. As well as a few teachers for guidance. Plus, I could always say no if I think it's not worth my time. ;)
